Flo-rida, we comin’ fo ya! Well, not today, but so soon I can taste it. When we get there, we promise to put up all electronics and become complete beach rats, HA!

We’ll be bringing along extra conditioner to make sure that the salt water doesn’t dry our locks out. We’ve been using and loving the Aussie Moist line, I may pick up the Smooth option to keep the frizz to a minimum.

Graduation, One Year Later

One year since graduation?! Guys, I’ve been struggling, for real. Seriously, how has it already been a year since my sweet Zoe graduated from High School?

I literally feel like it was just her Born Day. Whoever said, “The days are long, but the years are short!” wasn’t lying! It really hasn’t fazed her much though. She’s been doing awesome, 3 college semesters under her belt, just killin’ it… Momma, not so much. I love that she is fiercely independent, I raised her to be after all. I just need for her to need me, know what I mean?

I am so proud of her kindness and courageousness. She really can do it all! I’ve really been reminiscing, I can’t stop looking back through her graduation and senior pictures. Not only is she smart, but she is beautiful!

Can I get a time machine, please? I wish we could go back to her graduation party, it was beautiful and bright! She was surrounded by family and friends celebrating her. Just look at that graduate owl balloon, so cute! I made her two favorite desserts, strawberry lemonade cake and chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting. I know I’ll blink and we’ll already be to the next graduation, college!

Summer Break Vibes

This is an example of what pure happiness looks like! There really is nothing better than curling up with a cuppa, a blanket and a good book. Summer break gives me oh so many opportunities to do just that. By the way, isn’t that a stunning book cover?! The colors, that HAIR! I know we’re not supposed to judge a book by its cover, but in this case I did. Lucky for me, it worked out.

Reading is good for my soul, man! Not so good for my kiddos though, because they want me to cook and stuff.

It helps to take my mind off of the craziness of the world. I’d much prefer to read than to watch a movie. I do however like to read a book and then complain about the movie version when it comes out. If you’re not into reading, I encourage you to try it. There are so many benefits to it. Give it a go! Get lost in someone else’s story…

I’m also very content watching old series on Netflix. I prefer the ones that have at least 5 seasons and are already complete. I’m not too keen on waiting for new episodes weekly! Can you tell that I’m impatient? I think we’ve all become pretty spoiled in that way. My kids did talk me into watching the show called On My Block, it was so good that I watched it twice. Problem is, it broke rule number one… it’s brand new, so now I’m waiting on new episodes! I hate that, it feels like there’s no resolution! I NEED to know what happens next, like right now! Oh well, here’s to waiting…
